Airtech Advanced Materials Group has been awarded “Best Growth Partner 2017” by LM at the LM Windpower Supplier Conference in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

This was one of only four awards given out during the Supplier Conference and signifies a major step forward in our partnership with LM Windpower, the largest wind blade manufacturer in the world. Airtech’s expertise, manufacturing capabilities, quality and multi-location supply capabilities were recognized as being the best in the industry and were the main factors behind the significant growth in our business with LM in 2017.

Airtech TMGC-TX Fabrics are Triaxial Carbon Fabrics developed for the manufacture of composite molds with Airtech Toolfusion® resins. This range of Quasi-isotropic fabrics are balanced in every layer, avoiding the need for orientation of individual plies in laminate stack. We are now able to offer additional tapes in Pre-Cut format to customers who want to reduce touch labor and minimize the use of knives and scissors to avoid risk of hand injury. In addition, it eliminates the possibility of damaging the vacuum bag.

The Wrightlease 2 Pre-Cut Tape is 1” x 2” and presented on a 2-piece plastic liner for easy removal. The liner is scored to easily tear off as required.

The Wrightcast 8500 Pre-Cut Tape is 1” x 2” and presented on a paper liner. The 2-piece liner makes removal of the cut pieces easy and quick and the liner can be torn off for easy disposal.

On March 2018, Airtech supported the social program “Tambali Fii - Let's Start from Here” in Senegal  (Western Africa) by offering vacuum bagging materials for resin infusion. The aim of the project is the creation of a technological and social cluster of innovation in the territory of Dakar, with the help of Politecnico di Milano, Professor Andrea Ratti, and a local university, Institut Polytechnique Panafricain in Senegal.

With a lot of enthusiasm and tons of fantasy, the team succeeded to a quite good quality final laminate and you can’t imagine how big the smiles were when they demolded the canoe!
